Newsjack!

In collaboration with the Center for Civic Media and the Media Lab at MIT, the Respect in Reporting Campaign will be using the remix tool Newsjack to make necesary changes to problematic reporting. Created by Media Lab graduate student Dan Schultz, Newsjack allows you to alter virtually any website, allowing for the changing of headlines, image files, and entire blocks of text. Using Newsjack, Press Pass TV’s Respect in Reporting Campaign will work closely with youth in order to reimagine stories in the news about their communities, especially stories that are examples of misreporting. A direct link to Newsjack can be found here.
